Nick Baker joins Novatus Global as Chairman, further enhancing senior leadership team
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Nick Baker as the firm’s new Chairman. Nick is taking over the position from Marcus Sephton, who has been in the role since 2020.
Nick brings 25 years of global strategic consulting and FinTech experience across financial services. Notably he co-founded Alpha Financial Markets Consulting (Alpha FMC), a specialist global investment management consultancy firm, where he spent 15-years as an executive director and then senior adviser. Nick played a pivotal role in the company’s global expansion from inception to its IPO on the London AIM in 2017. He also spearheaded the company’s corporate M&A activity, resulting in the successful acquisitions of numerous consultancy firms. Prior FinTech experience includes his position as CEO of Alpha FMC’s specialist software division (now branded Aiviq), senior adviser at compliance/risk software provider Catelas Inc, and non-executive director at Dragonfly, a test consultancy, recruitment and AI software provider. He also chairs Amplify Trading, a financial markets education software firm, White Marble Consulting, a marketing consultancy to the asset and wealth management industries, and MAIA Technology, a software vendor providing a holistic asset management front-to-back office platform.
Nick’s appointment highlights Novatus’ continued commitment to growth and international expansion. This appointment follows the 2022 investment from Maven Capital Partners, to help Novatus Global achieve its growth ambitions in both its technology and advisory solutions.
